Designed by Jeff Levine, Nouveau Cartoon JNL is an art nouveau font family. This typeface has two styles and was published by Jeff Levine Fonts.

Samuel Welo’s “Studio Handbook – Letter and Design for Artists and Advertisers” was a go-to source of inspiration for generations of layout artists, graphic designers and sign painters.

An interesting example of free-form pen lettering was found amongst the pages of one edition and it has now been recreated as a digital typeface called Nouveau Cartoon JNL; available in both regular and oblique versions.

Designed by Ricardo Marcin and Erica Jung, Pickles is a hand display font published by PintassilgoPrints.

Pickles is a retro tasting font, with a twist. It draws inspiration from a handsome hand-lettered movie poster from the sixties.
The font brings two different glyphs for the letters - which are all uppercase - to avoid repetition and provide a handmade look. There are also some ornaments to sprinkle here and there if you fancy. And yet some swash finishes for sticking to some glyphs on occasion.
From sixties posters to instagram posts, this is quite a lovely face. Have a taste!

Designed by David Kerkhoff, Gumboots is a comic font family. This typeface has four styles and was published by Hanoded.

I bought a pair of green gumboots (or Wellingtons) the other day. I have a little wilderness outside and it is quite muddy, so I thought a pair of boots would be a good buy.

Gumboots is a handmade comic font. It comes in a regular and a fat style and you can use it for just about anything that needs a bit of comic relief.

Designed by Ricardo Santos, Linka is a display sans and sans serif font family. This typeface has four styles and was published by Vanarchiv.

This font family is display sans-serif with different stylistic layers available as open type font. The main characters are geometric and neutral but when we change the contextual alternates open type feature the letterforms activate the cursive stylish set. The word composition is divided by initial, medial and final forms, available for all uppercase and lowercase, the diacritics for Latin encodings (Western and central Europe and Baltic countries) are available. However the contextual alternate features (cursive mode) can only work on Adobe CS Indesign and Illustrator softwares. This typeface also has uppercase swash and stylish alternates. A large group of discretionary ligatures are also available to improve better legibility and readability on specific characters combinations.

Designed by Jakob Fischer, Thick Fun is a hand display and hand drawn font family. This typeface has two styles and was published by Pizzadude.dk.

This is not a brush font!
This is an imitation of brushstrokes, done by pen. But I guess you’ve already noticed that - the brushstrokes are way too obvious, to have been made by brush. Although being a “fake”, the letters leaves you with quite a good impression. Letters were inspired by an old horror movie poster, but is very useful for something less terrifying!

Designed by Jeff Levine, Dutch Deco JNL is an art deco font family. This typeface has two styles and was published by Jeff Levine Fonts.

Although the Art Deco movement is generally attributed to the 1930s and 1940s, a number of design influences were showing up during the late 1920s in what is referred to as the Art Nouveau period.

The Dutch illustrator Anton Kurvers’ hand lettering on the front cover of the (1927) magazine “Het Vlaamsche Volstooneel”  clearly shows the clean lines and Avant Garde geometrics that foreshadow Art Deco.

This attractive pre-Deco lettering has been recreated digitally as Dutch Deco JNL, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.
